STATEMENT
Jeongwoong Lee explores the boundary of the real and the fantastical, presenting a unique style of painting that is a fragmented mix of time and space and images. His work invites the viewer to go beyond traditional interpretations of painting and explore the work based on direct experience and personal imagination. Through fantasy, he seeks new narratives beyond the real, revealing a shift away from symbolism and toward de-symbolization in his creative process. This is also seen in the narrative approach of interactivity and imaginative amplification through the titles of the works. This approach invites the audience to experience artistic exploration on a deeper and more personal level.
이정웅 작가는 실제와 판타지의 경계를 탐구하며, 뒤섞인 시공간과 이미지가 파편적으로 혼합된 독특한 화풍을 선보입니다. 그의 작업은 관객에게 전통적 회화 해석을 넘어 직접적 경험과 개인적 상상력을 바탕으로 작품을 탐험하도록 유도합니다. 판타지를 통해 실재를 넘어서는 새로운 서사를 추구하며, 창작 과정에서 상징 중심을 벗어나 탈-상징으로 전환되는 점을 드러냅니다. 이는 작품 제목을 통한 상호작용과 상상력 증폭의 서술적 접근에서도 나타납니다. 이러한 접근은 관객에게 예술적 탐험을 더 깊이 있고 개인적인 차원에서 경험하게 만듭니다.
