    In 2025, CDA’s first exhibition, <Quiet Currents>, explores the universal yet profound theme of “growth.” This exhibition highlights that growth is not merely an external transformation but a process that unfolds quietly within, emerging gradually through consistent effort and introspection. Artists SungOk Park, Ikumi Nakada (中田いくみ), and SeNa Hwang, who work with dry materials such as pencil, charcoal, and pastel, each bring their unique perspectives to the themes of loss, anxiety, childhood memories, and self-discovery. Their works are characterized by the meticulous layering of fine lines, capturing traces of time and effort, which resonate deeply with the slow and steady currents of growth implied in the exhibition’s title. Together, the works narrate both individual and universal journeys of growth, inviting viewers to reflect on their own experiences and potential.

    2025년, 씨디에이의 첫 번째 전시 <Quiet Currents 시나브로 자라는>은 ‘성장’이라는 보편적이지만 깊이 있는 주제를 탐구한다. 이번 전시는 성장이란 단순한 외적 변화가 아니라 내면에서 조용히 일어나며 꾸준한 노력과 성찰을 통해 서서히 드러나는 과정임을 조명한다. 연필, 목탄, 파스텔과 같은 건식 재료로 작업하는 박성옥, 이쿠미 나카다(中田いくみ), 황세나 작가는 각각의 고유한 시선으로 상실, 불안, 유년의 기억, 그리고 자아 발견을 표현한다. 이들의 작업은 미세한 선을 반복적으로 쌓아 올려 시간과 노력의 흔적을 작품 속에 담아내는 것이 특징이며, 전시 제목이 암시하는 천천히 흐르는 성장의 움직임과도 맞닿아 있다. 세 작가의 작업은 개별적이면서도 보편적인 ‘성장’의 여정을 함께 이야기하며, 관람객이 자신의 경험과 가능성을 되돌아보는 계기를 제공한다.
